Intro to the Airline Industry

This course provides students with an introduction to the airline industry and its history, the major airlines, destinations and hubs, as well as the specific role of the flight attendant.

This course consists of the following modules:

  • Introduction to the Airline Industry
  • Airport Familiarization Seminar
  • Aviation Company Seminar Training
  • Cultural Field Trip

Aircraft Systems

The Aircraft Systems Course focuses on providing aircraft specific information. There will be 4 different aircrafts of study. Boeing 737-700, Airbus 320, Boeing 767-300, Boeing 747-400. These aircraft are popular with carriers throughout the world aviation industry.  Information delivered on each aircraft will include but is not restricted to: Aircraft specifications; operation of cabin doors & over-wing exits; galley electrical systems; oxygen systems; emergency lighting; communication systems: passengers/crew; master panels/ordinance signs; passenger seating/controls; lavatories; any additional features pertinent to each aircraft. An assigned student project researching other popular aircraft types within the current aviation industry and presentation to the class, focusing on the learned areas of study will further the students’ knowledge of aircraft systems applicable to current trends.

Aircraft Service

This course focuses on onboard service procedures, in-flight organization and set up as well as food and beverage service. Students will receive Basic Food Safety and Alcohol Service certifications.

This course consists of the following modules:

  • Onboard Service Procedures, Blocks & Pairings
  • Assisting Travelers with Disabilities
  • Basic Food Safety (BASICS.fst)
  • Serving it Right

Aircraft Safety

This course focuses on the flight attendant’s duties and responsibilities in aircraft safety. Students will receive practical training in Standard First Aid and Emergency Procedures.

This course consists of the following modules:

  • Aircraft Safety & Critical Incident Training
  • Service and Safety Announcements
  • Emergency Procedures Training
  • Cabin Fire Training
  • Standard First Aid with CPR “C” and AED

Professional Development

This course focuses on the attributes, attitudes and skills students must acquire for a successful career in the aviation industry.

This course consists of the following modules:

  • Professional Development
  • Self-Awareness
  • Personal Awareness (Image Day) 


Students gain an overall perspective and understanding on the subject of leadership and how it relates to the professional and personal aspects of an individual’s life.  Students gain insights on the importance and strength of teams in the airline industry. The course includes a capstone project presentation prepared by the student.

This course consists of the following modules:

  • Team Building
  • Leadership
  • Student Project Presentation

Final Exam

This program has been approved for delivery by the registrar of the Private Training Institutions Branch (PTIB). International Students: This program is not eligible for Postgraduate work permit program (PGWPP). To be eligible for a PGWPP you must transfer to one of our pathway institutions.
